Getting around Canet

By bike

Arriving from the Mediterranean coast or Spain, you can reach Canet en Roussillon by taking the EUROVELO 8, also known as the Véloroute de la Méditerranée. Once there, two trails take you from the village to the beach, one of them underground.

Bicycle paths are at your disposal so that you can ride with complete peace of mind:

  • Pond cycle path: Link between St Cyprien and Canet to the Lido traffic circle
  • Hauts de Canet cycle path: Link between Canet and Saleilles via Saint Nazaire and crossing of Départementale n°11 and Voie de la Méditerranée to the Esparrou traffic circle.
  • Port bicycle path: Link between the port and the village along boulevard Las Bigues

By bus

The Sankéo public transport network offers a daily service to Canet en Roussillon all year round.
Bus route n°3 runs every 30 minutes 7 days a week from Canet Sud to Perpignan train station.

En Canet'on bus

The canet'on bus is a 20-seater shuttle that provides transport for canet residents and holidaymakers all year round. 

This intramural service is free of charge and serves strategic points in Canet en Roussillon, from Vert Vallon to Canet Sud, via the village, the port and the beach center. The service runs 8 times a day.

By pass'port shuttle

The port shuttle operates during the summer season (June 1 to September 30), taking passengers from the North mole to the South mole.

Rate: 50 centimes per passage (free for Port yachtsmen)

By little bus train

The Canet en Roussillon trainbus is an urban transport service operating from late June to mid-September. A single train runs in low season in June and September from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., every day. Two trains run in July and August from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., every day.

The trains depart from "Espace Méditerranée" and serve the seafront, the village, tourist attractions and numerous campsites.
